Opera at USC presents The Lanny and Sidney Palmer One-Act Opera Series. The production includes Lo Scoiattolo in Gamba (The Clever Squirrel), a lyrical fairy tale in one act, featuring music by Nino Rota and libretto by Eduardo De Filippo, along with Markheim by Carlisle Floyd. Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s short story, Floyd’s opera explores themes of guilt, conscience and redemption.
