The Buena Vista Orchestra is the world’s foremost Cuban music repertory ensemble, featuring a revolving lineup of musicians associated with The Buena Vista Social Club, AfroCuban All Stars, Celia Cruz, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, and Willie Colón. Carrying forward the spirit of the legendary Buena Vista movement—one of the most celebrated and influential Cuban music projects of all time—the band keeps this timeless sound alive, captivating audiences around the globe. It also gives a new generation of fans the chance to experience this rich musical heritage today. Join the audience for a free pre-performance talk by David D’Angelo, Senior Lecturer of Jazz in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, in Ramsey Concert Hall prior to the performance from 6:45-7:15 p.m.
