Feel the energy and excitement of America’s original art form at the LSU Jazz Showcase — a high-octane evening celebrating the full spectrum of jazz. This event brings together the powerhouse LSU Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab Band, and Chamber Groups for an exhilarating series of back-to-back performances. From hard-hitting big band charts to intimate combo improvisations, the showcase highlights the depth and versatility of LSU’s Jazz Studies program. Expect a fast-paced, ever-changing setlist, fresh off the bandstand — where the music is alive, the energy is electric, and every note is a celebration of jazz’s past, present, and future. A full program for this concert will be available at: https://lsu.edu/cmda/events/programs /// As part of LSU’s College of Music and Dramatic Arts, the LSU School of Music offers its students one of the nation’s most comprehensive music programs. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music in 1932, the LSU School of Music numbers almost 400 majors, 90 graduate students, 70 faculty and professional staff, and is home to the historic Turner-Fischer Center for Opera, one of the oldest collegiate programs of its kind in the United States. #geauxmusic
