Meandering is a pandemic-inspired piece drawing on the many walks I have gone on with family members, our dog, and by myself. These walks were important to get fresh air in between classes, exercise, and work through various things that were on my mind. In essence, these walks allowed my thoughts to meander as they transformed into various aspirations, confronted reality, and ultimately arrived at a new version that was a blend of everything I had thought of while on the given walk. I would like to give a special thanks to Professor Gil-Ordonez for allowing me to work with Members of the Georgetown Orchestra, Professor Simon for creating this opportunity, and the quartet players (Meredith Lou, Rachel Li, Will Nemoy, and Kenny Boggess) for working with me during our workshops and for taking the time to make this piece come together. Thank you for meandering to my piece!
