Boel Gidholm & Mary Riccardi, Baroque violin/viola Christopher Haritatos, Baroque cello Deborah Fox, theorbo Naomi Gregory, organ Peter Schoellkopff, baritone Founded in 1995, and under the artistic leadership of violinist Boel Gidholm and cellist Christopher Haritatos since 2011, Publick Musick is a Rochester-based period-instrument ensemble specializing in music of the 17th and 18th centuries, with nationally and internationally renowned Early Music professionals. Highlights from the last several seasons include programs of rarely heard 17th-century German Christmas and Easter music, music of Isabella Leonarda at Eastman's Women in Music Festival, works of composers of African descent from the 18th through the 20th centuries, and Bach Cantatas with Eastman's Craighead-Saunders organ in Christ Church Rochester. --- On the third Thursday of each month, from September through May, the Eastman School of Music and the Memorial Art Gallery present varied concert programs by faculty and guest artists featuring Eastmanâs Italian Baroque Organ. These Third Thursday Concerts are free with Gallery admission after 5pm and are made possible by the Rippey Endowed Trust. Admission is free for University of Rochester ID holders. All concerts begin at 7:00pm. Please arrive early as seating is limited and available on a first-come basis.
