Voice
10-16-2026 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm (America/New_York) (45 minutes)

This collaborative workshop between UGA Libraries and the Career Center will help participants navigate today’s competitive job market with confidence and strategy. Participants will strengthen the core materials that drive successful applications — compelling cover letters, polished resumes, and professional LinkedIn profiles — while also exploring how to approach interviews with intention and clarity. Instructors will also introduce how AI tools like Copilot can support the writing process using the PREPARE framework for effective prompt development. Learn how to use AI thoughtfully to brainstorm, refine, and strengthen materials while maintaining an authentic voice. Special attention will be given to balancing authenticity with strategy — integrating meaningful keywords naturally, identifying impactful language versus empty buzzwords, and ensuring personality and strengths remain central in every application. This session will also address responsible AI use, including ethical considerations, privacy awareness, and strategies for critically evaluating AI-generated content to avoid common pitfalls and overreliance. By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to: Develop stronger resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles aligned with employer expectations and their personal brand. Apply keyword strategies that improve discoverability while maintaining authenticity in application materials. Use AI tools like Copilot ethically and effectively to support writing and revision through structured prompting techniques. Critically evaluate AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and alignment with their voice. To receive credit for this program, students must log in through Handshake and complete the survey at the end of the session. Access to this event will be made available 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.
