Unattainable: Songs from the Edge of Desire explores the spaces between longing and fulfillment, memory and reality, and the beloved and the self. Through music by Mahler, Fauré, Duparc, Santoliquido, and David N. Takach, mezzo-soprano Lindsay Kate Brown and pianist Dr. Jeong-Eun Lee follow a journey from heartbreak and imagined escape toward remembrance, transformation, and self-possession. Brown, Assistant Professor of Voice at LSU, and Lee, Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano, bring together their shared commitment to expressive, text-centered collaboration.
